Hi, I’m Yohanna

Life can feel heavy, especially when you’re overwhelmed, or running on empty, but the good thing is you don’t have to do this alone. That’s what I am here for.

Hi! I am Yohanna (yo-ana)!

I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in California, who offers support to individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. While I welcome clients of all ages and backgrounds, I have a particular passion for supporting children, teens, neurodivergent individuals, and Latina women.

I have been working with children and adolescents since I was 16 years old. I have worked in multiple school districts in several different roles (an after-school program leader, a science camp mentor, teacher's assistant, behavioral interventionist, and a mental health therapist). I strongly believe that I would not have been able to be the person I am today if it was not for those adults.

Therapy with me is about having someone who understands the layers you are holding: your story, your struggles, and your identity. In our sessions, all parts of you are welcome—the parts that laugh, cry, worry, and hope. My approach is warm, flexible, and collaborative. I often draw from narrative therapy, mindfulness, somatic practices, heart-centered approaches, and play therapy. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy because you are the expert on your own life. I’m here to support, guide, and walk alongside you as you explore, grow, and heal in ways that truly resonate with you.

Therapy isn’t to fix you…it’s to help you remember you were never broken.

And if you’re ever unsure if therapy is a good fit, we can talk through that, too. My hope is that in our work together you feel deeply supported and truly seen, not just for where you’ve been, but for where you’re going.

Yohanna is an associate marriage and family therapist (136526), supervised by Maria Denardo, LMFT (135016).

Sobre mí…

Hola!

"Tu mejor versión no necesita castigo, necesita cuidado" (The best version of yourself doesn’t need punishment, she needs care.)
